BECOME A CCW INSTRUCTOR
Steps to become an Instructor to help other people obtain their CCW Permit
Step 1: Obtain Basic Pistol Instructor Certification
The first step in becoming a CCW (Concealed Carry Weapon) Instructor is to obtain certification as a Basic Pistol Instructor. This can be done by completing training programs offered by organizations such as the NRA or other reputable training centers. These programs typically cover firearm safety, shooting fundamentals, instructional techniques, and range safety protocols.
Step 2: Become a Personal Protection In The Home (PPITH) Instructor
Once you have acquired your Basic Pistol Instructor certification, the next step is to become certified as a Personal Protection In The Home Instructor. This certification will enable you to provide training on self-defense and the legal aspects of using a firearm for personal protection within the home. Training programs usually cover home security, defensive shooting techniques, and legal considerations.
Step 3: Coaching and Support to Become a CCW Instructor
After obtaining the necessary certifications, the CCW Instructor program will provide additional coaching and support to help you become a Certified CCW Instructor. This may include guidance on curriculum development, teaching methodologies, and a range of instruction techniques specific to concealed carry training.
